Titebond Roof Cement Sealant

Titebond Roof Cement is an all-weather, asphalt based patching compound specifically designed and formulated to repair cracks, seams, gaps and holes in roofing materials. This sealant is ideal for repair and new-construction roofing applications.

Use Titebond Roof Cement to set flashings, drip edges and roofing material edges as well as to install shingles and roll roofing. Seals around skylights, vents, chimneys, valleys and exhaust pipes.

Tooling Time

For a 1/4" bead, approximately 10-20 minutes

Working Surfaces

For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry and free from any material that may deter adhesion.


Clean tools and excess material with mineral spirits before it dries. Scrape dried excess. Follow solvent vendor’s precautions when using solvents.

Curing Time

Allow product to cure between 30 and 60 days prior to application of reflective coating.

In colder weather (50°F and below) product should be stored inside between 70°F and 80°F for 24 hours prior to application. Roof Cement should not be painted. Do not apply to foam, plastic, EPDM, Hypalon or similar type of synthetic rubber roof systems. If there is a question on compatibility, test a small area first before application to entire surface area. DO NOT APPLY IN THE PRESENCE OF A FLAME. Do Not Thin. WARNING: COMBUSTIBLE LIQUID AND VAPOR. VAPORS HARMFUL. Contains mineral spirits and asphalt. Keep away from heat, sparks, flame and other combustible materials. Use only with positive cross ventilation. Maintain ventilation until solvent dissipates. Do not use in confined areas. Use this product only if adequate ventilation can be used and maintained. Avoid breathing vapors. High vapor concentrations are irritating to the nose, throat, and respiratory system. Prolonged or repeated overexposure to solvents in product can cause central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, eye, skin, liver, kidney or respiratory system effects. Causes eye and skin irritation. Harmful if swallowed. As when working with any solvent based material, appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, should be worn. FIRST AID: If dizziness or respiratory difficulty occurs, remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention if breathing difficulty continues. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately. If eye contact occurs, flush eyes with water for 15 minutes and consult physician. For skin contact, wash with soap and water.
