X-TREME Fireblock Foam Sealant

Titebond® WeatherMaster™ X-TREME Fireblock low pressure one-component polyurethane foam sealant is a moisture cured foam designed to seal, fill, bond and stop air infiltration in areas where a fireblock product is required. It has a recognizable orange color allowing inspectors to easily identify the use of an approved fireblock product for Type V residential construction. Due to its expansion characteristics, it is more effective than many traditional fireblocking materials for the blocking of flames and smoke in concealed penetrations, preventing flame spread from room to room and floor to floor.

Titebond® WeatherMaster™ X-TREME Fireblock exceeds all of the following specifications: ASTM D1622; ASTM C518; ASTM E2178; ASTM E814; ASTM D1621; ASTM 1623; ASTM D2126; GreenGuard UL and UL

24 oz. - Dispensing Unit Only Application Method

Shake well, attach the container to X-TREME Dispensing Unit and begin dispensing. The Dispensing Unit can be metered by pulling the trigger for the desired rate, or with the metering screw located in the back. Foam application can be interrupted when needed as outlined in the instructions and the Dispensing Unit will be ready for immediate re-use, as long as it remains attached to a pressurized container. An empty gun foam container must be replaced with a new container.

12 oz. - Straw Foam Application Method

Shake well, attach the straw, invert the container and begin dispensing. By activating the adapter lever carefully, the extrusion rate can be regulated.

Working Time

Surfaces must be clean, dry, free of loose particles, and free of dust, grease, and mold release agents. It is the sole responsibility of the user to thoroughly test any proposed use with all substrates to determine project suitability prior to using product on your application.

Method for Containment

Uncured product is very sticky; carefully remove the bulk of the foam by scraping it up and then immediately remove the residue with a rag and solvent such as X-TREME Cleaner, mineral spirits, acetone (nail polish remover), paint thinner, etc. Once the product is cured it can only be removed mechanically by scraping, buffing, etc. Use appropriate PPE.

Method for Cleanup

Scoop up material and place in a disposal container. Dispose of as plastic waste in accordance with all applicable guidelines and regulations. Vapors can accumulate in low areas. Provide ventilation.
